Level Designer (Puzzle)

Joker Games, a remote mobile gaming company based in Istanbul, started in 2017 with a bang by introducing “Batak Club,” our signature game that has become a huge success in Turkey. Now, we are on a mission to revolutionize our genre and develop high-quality evergreen mobile games for players around the world.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design, create, and iterate on levels to deliver an engaging experience for our players.
• Develop and refine algorithms that contribute to level design and mechanics.
• Analyze player data and feedback to improve the game experience and balance level difficulty.
• Collaborate closely with game designer, developers, and the art team to ensure seamless integration of levels into the game’s broader narrative.
• Support live-ops development by designing content for events, challenges, and updates.
• Stay up-to-date with market trends, apply best practices, and contribute creative ideas for new game features and mechanics.
• Test and optimize levels to ensure smooth gameplay flow and player engagement.
• Contribute to improving internal level design processes and tools.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• 3+ years of experience in level design, preferably in puzzle or casual games.
• Strong understanding of game mechanics, player motivations, and balancing techniques.
• Experience with algorithm development for game design is a strong plus.
• Solid analytical skills with the ability to make data-driven design decisions.
• Passion for games and the mobile gaming industry, with an awareness of current trends and best practices.
• Experience working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment, contributing to live-ops or live game features.
